Kim Gu (Korean: 김구, August 29, 1876 – June 26, 1949), whose real name was Chang-su (창수), childhood name Chang-am (창암), pseudonym Baekbeom (백범), and alias Durae (두래), was commonly known as Kim Gu. He originated from the Andong Kim clan and was a Korean independence activist and politician. He served as a leader of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and is revered by modern Koreans as the 'Father of Korea.'
