Park Chung-hee (Korean: 박정희/Bak Jeonghui; November 14, 1917 – October 26, 1979), courtesy name Jung-su, served as the 5th to 9th President of the Republic of Korea. He is the longest-serving head of state in South Korean constitutional history and the father of Park Geun-hye, the 18th President of South Korea.
