His stage name is Taeyang (Korean: 태양, English: Taeyang), and his Japanese stage name is SOL (Japanese: ソル, derived from 'Sun'). He is the main vocalist, main dancer, and sub-rapper of the South Korean boy group BIGBANG, under the management of THEBLACKLABEL.
