Seo Taiji (Korean: 서태지, born February 21, 1972) is a South Korean singer, lyricist, and composer. He debuted in 1989 under the name Seo Taiji. In 1992, he founded the group 'Seo Taiji and the Boys,' which achieved great success and brought a fresh wave to the Korean music scene. Their modern dance and rap style gradually replaced the dominant traditional Korean ballad genre at the time.
