Yoon Seok-yeol (Korean: 윤석열 / 尹錫悅 Yun Seok-yeol; December 18, 1960—) is a conservative political figure and prosecutor in South Korea. Hailing from the Papyeong Yoon clan, his ancestral home is Gongju City, Chungcheong Province. Currently unaffiliated with any political party, he is a former member of the People Power Party and has served as the 20th President of South Korea, Prosecutor General of South Korea, Chief of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and head of the Yeoju branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.
